Line]-Mestek- Real Property -CF -1-A motion was made by Councilman Beikman with a second by <br />Councilman Rogers to approve the CF -1 Real property for Line]-Mestek. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Ross Holloway from Holloway & Associates appeared before the council concerning the new <br />apartment complex on Moore Street off of South Indiana Street being constructed by Bert Neff. <br />There are two issues: East behind the Bank is all in the flood plain. Neff is filling in an area east of <br />Bank that is low -that Town of Mooresville owns. Also, improvements need made to the end of <br />Moore Street, it has to be raised approximately 2 feet going back 50 feet or so on Witti's property <br />with approval Mr. Neff would proceed to fill and make a swale then starting at bank parking lot and <br />slanting down to the swa]e. Combined issues, have to raise the detention basin next to the bank. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Rogers to approve subject <br />to Witti's approval of the issues. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Maintenance Ordinance: A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman <br />Rogers to table for 2 meetings. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Letter Shane Williams sent to the council: The council will still have the Department heads attend a <br />council meeting and report one time each month. <br />Crime Watch in Grandview: Steve Wilson said he started this a year ago and was told to work with <br />the Town. He wants Town to use existing posts and stop signs to put up Crime Watch signs. Chief of <br />Police, Danny Allen, told him it was illegal to put signs on Stop Signs. His recommendation was to <br />put new posts and signs at beginning of Grandview. David Rogers and Dustin Stanley offered to buy <br />the posts. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Beikman with a second by Councilman Rogers to get Councilman <br />Stanley to have the street department put up posts and Councilman Stanley to reimburse the town. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Council President Warthen told the council he had talked with Spyglass, a company that looks for <br />overcharges. They would get one-half of any money that we would get back. They also look at <br />future expenses. The Mooresville School has used them before and were happy with them. The <br />council had several questions so a motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by <br />Councilman Stanley to address this at the next meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Councilman Beikman said there was a joint meeting of the drainage board on June 15, 2018, at <br />10:30 A. M. Council President wants to send Councilman Beikman and maybe Banning Eng. And <br />take the Town of Mooresville plans. Terry Brock told Councilman Beikman that Hendricks County <br />had a set of plans at one time. <br />No Legal <br />Clean up Day is May 19tH <br />Tim Medsker, Fire Chief, had a sample of a form the school has and requested it be attached to our <br />street closure forms. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis, with a second by Councilman <br />Rogers to approve. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Fire Report: 89 calls, 57 EMS, 9 fires, and 5 false alarms. <br />Police Chief, Danny Allen, reported 275 calls,87 arrests, 192 incidents, 550 warnings, 29 accidents, <br />84.7 hours in overtime, 58.5 hours in comp time. <br />Mike Dellinger handed SB -1's to the council for lots 20 & 21 in Flagstaff Business Park. The <br />companies are FloSource, Inc and MacOwen Real Estate. Will have $55,000 in new personal <br />property and $140,000 in real property, and 28 employees. This qualifies them for 10 -year <br />abatement. A public Hearing will need to be advertised for the second meeting in June. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Rogers to approve public <br />notifications. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Dave Moore, Street Dept. report: They have one more day of street sweeping. The Community <br />Crossing paving for 2018 should be completed in 2 weeks. Community Crossings application for <br />2019 has to be in between Aug 6th and September 28tH <br />Public Comments: <br />
