MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2018 6:OOpm <br />Members present: Harold Gutzwiller, Bill Boyd and Don Stoltz. School representative Dr. Larry Moore <br />was present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. Project Manager <br />Chelsey Manns was present. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Stultz and seconded by Commissioner Boyd to approve the <br />executive session and public meeting minutes from September 6. The motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Boyd and seconded by Commissioner Stultz to accept the financial <br />report as presented. The motion carried 3-0. <br />Public Comment Jeremy Kuntz of Blackdog Brewing provided a presentation regarding his new business <br />located along Cherry Blossom Way. He requested access to the easement along Cherry Blossom Way for <br />outside seating and financial assistance of the RDC. Commissioner Gutzwiller stated they would take his <br />request for financial assistance under advisement and asked that Attorney Steuerwald address the <br />easement request. <br />Southbridge Crossing — Manns provided two quotes forthe replacement of ceiling tiles in Showtime <br />Cinema due to previous roof leaks. The first quote was from T&W One Source for $3,900. The second <br />quote was from Sunco Construction for a total of $9,491.04. A third quote was requested from <br />Commercial Contracting Services and they declined to provide a bid. Commissioner Stultz made the <br />motion to approve the T&W One Source bid in the amount of $3,900 for the replacement of ceiling tiles <br />at Showtime Cinema. Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion, which carried 3-0. <br />Manns shared that in an effort to sell Southbridge Crossing, she was requesting the RDC approve <br />obtaining a flood certification from Floodplain Consultants, Inc. Commissioner Stultz approved the <br />motion as presented. Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion, which carried 3-0. <br />Manns also presented a proposal from White's Electric for $12,150 to address some electrical issues at <br />Southbridge. Commissioner Stultz made the motion to approve the proposal as presented. <br />Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion, which carried 3-0. <br />Gateway Project Update: <br />Bicentennial Park: Manns shared she is aware there are still issues with the lighting components at <br />Bicentennial Park and they are being worked on. <br />Indiana Street: Manns met with Earth Images to do a walk-through for the plantings which are still under <br />warranty. Many of them have been replaced and she'll have a final report at the next meeting. <br />High Street: Manns shared the Town met with Banning Engineering to discuss the latest update from <br />INDOT. No news to report at this time. <br />
