Mooresville Plan Commission Minutes <br />Thursday August 23rd 2018 <br />Members present: Tammy VanHook, Perry Ding, Mike Young, Jeff <br />Dieterlen, Dave Moore, Dennis Chambers, Joe Beilcman, Robert Alumbaugh <br />and attorney Mel Daniel. <br />Mike Young called the meeting to order then called for a motion on the <br />previous minutes; Mr. Alumbaugh motioned to approve the claims as <br />presented, Joe Beikman seconded the motion and the motion passed 8-0. <br />The first item on the agenda is a replat at 12225 N Markland Dr. presented <br />by John Larrison of Holloway Engineering. John and Valerie Paul own both <br />lots 29 and 30 in Savanna Acres, their previous home burnt and they would <br />like to build a new, larger home across the property line. Mike Young asked <br />about a homeowners association and Jeff Dieterlen questioned the drainage <br />easement. John Larrison stated the homeowners association was dissolved <br />years ago and rerouting any drainage would be addressed during the house <br />plan process. When no further questions were asked Jeff Dieterlen made a <br />motion to accept the variance, Perry King seconded the motion and the <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />The next item on the agenda is a major plat at Bridge Street and Liberty <br />Blvd, presented by Ross Holloway of Holloway Engineering. The request is <br />to allow a previously approved planned business section to be used as <br />residential properties. Mike Young called for questions or concerns from the <br />Commission. Jeff Dieterlen questioned the homeowners association, lot <br />sizes; building on two would require a replat. Joe Beilanan asked if homes <br />would need to meet current covenance while Tammy VanHook inquired as <br />to when Liberty Blvd. might be completed through to Hadley Rd. Mr. <br />Holloway indicated that lot sizes would remain as the infrastructure was in <br />place, yes combining lots would require a replat or 2 homeowners <br />association fees and property taxes, all homes would be built according to <br />existing requirements and it is unknown when Liberty Blvd would be <br />completed, the focus now is on this section. Jeff Dieterlen asked if existing <br />sewer lines were in working order and if they would need to be cleaned, <br />Ross Holloway responded with inspected yes, cleaned would need to be <br />determined by the sewer / stormwater office not the Plan Commission, Mike <br />Young called for questions and or comments from the audience.
