MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2018 6:OOpm <br />Members present: Harold Gutzwiller, Bill Boyd and Don Stultz. School representative Dr. Larry Moore <br />was present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. Project Manager <br />Chelsey Manns was present. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Stultz and seconded by Commissioner Boyd to approve the <br />executive session and public meeting minutes from October 4. The motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Boyd and seconded by Commissioner Stultz to accept the financial <br />report as presented. The motion carried 3-0. <br />Public Comment: None at this time. <br />Southbridge Crossing: Manns presented three bids for an elevation certificate for Southbridge Crossing: <br />$2,300 Banning Engineering <br />f $2,600 Structurepoint <br />• $3,200 Holloway Engineering <br />Commissioner Stultz made the motion to approve the elevation certificate proposal from Banning <br />Engineering in the amount of $2,300. Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion, which carried 3-0. <br />Manns noted they are still working towards an offer on Southbridge. <br />Gateway Project Update: <br />Bicentennial Park: Manns shared she is aware there are still issues with the lighting components at <br />Bicentennial Park and they are being worked on. The subcontractors (ESL Spectrum) rewired the lights <br />around the flames which will now be on two -wire system. There is one fixture that was never replaced <br />but it has been ordered with an estimated ship date of December 12". In the interim, ESL plans to bring <br />down the sample of this fixture to install temporarily on site until the new fixture comes in. <br />Additionally, Myers Construction put a rubber seal around the gaskets until new seals from the <br />manufacturer are provided. All of this was done not at the expense of the town. Manns thanked Myers <br />Construction for their diligence on this issue. <br />Indiana Street: Manns shared plans from Earth Images which showed all the plants they replaced along <br />Indiana Street which was in the thousands. <br />High Street: Manns shared there was no update at this time. Commissioner Gutzwiller questioned <br />when the next public meeting would be and when the Commission will see the designs. Manns will <br />inquire and provide an update next month. <br />Old Business: Attorney Steuerwald presented Resolution 2018-8 authorizing purchase of 368 Merriman <br />Road. Commissioner Gutzwiller noted cost for the property should not exceed $3,100,000 to finance <br />
