Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Larry Bryant <br />Fred Settle <br />Danny Lundy <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on May 16, 2019. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Fred Settle, Danny Lundy <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Charles Braun, Anthony Woodside, Amanda Carrell <br />Call to order at 6:13 PM. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes from the March meeting. Danny Lundy <br />seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Police Commissioner Danny Lundy presented the Police Commission with his Officer <br />Satisfaction Survey that he would like to send out to all full-time and part-time employees. Fred <br />Settle made a motion to accept the survey, send it out to all MPD employees and give them two <br />weeks to complete it. Danny Lundy seconded. There was minor discussion among the members. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the stats for April 2019. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new police department. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the three applicants, stating that he <br />was now waiting on the State of Indiana pension board to approve them. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new hiring process. <br />Police Commissioner Danny Lundy presented the Police Commission with his proposal for <br />incentive pay for the police officers. Fred Settle made a motion to accept the proposal and send it <br />to the Mooresville Town Board for approval. Danny Lundy seconded. There was minor <br />discussion among all present. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen advised the Police Commission that since he had been doing the budgets for the <br />Mooresville Police Department (since 2015) that he has asked for a $5000 raise for all police <br />officers as well as money to fund the K9 program and SWAT program. Chief Allen advised that <br />each year those items have been removed from the budget by the Town Board. Chief Allen <br />stated that he wanted the Police Commission to know that he has been asking for more money <br />for his officers. <br />
