Chief Allen presented to the Police Commission that he would like to change SOP 9.07, which
deals with wrecker services. The current SOP states that wreckers will have 20 minutes to
respond to any scene when called by the police department. Chief Allen stated that he would like
to increase that number from 20 to 30. After much discussion and debate, Fred Settle stated that
he does not want to see the time increased. The request was tabled by the Police Commission and
Chief Allen was asked to provide a report on the wrecker times for the month of May at the next
meeting.
Danny Lundy advised that there would be an executive session of the police commission on
Tuesday, June 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM. This meeting would be to discuss the survey results. This
meeting is closed to the public and will be held at the Mooresville Town Hall.
The next meeting will be held on June 20, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Mooresville Police
Department.
THESE MINUTES SO APPROVED ON THIS DAY THE 20th day of June 2019.
tBryant,
La Comw sioner
Fred Settle, Commissioner
Danny Luneff, Commissioner
ATTES ED:
Amanda Carnell, Records Clerk
