Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Fred Settle <br />Danny Lundy <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on July 18, 2019. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Fred Settle, Danny Lundy <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Charles Braun, Josh Obermeyer, Levi Martin, Eric <br />Leap, Mark & Casey Bailey, Chad Richhart, Larry Bryant, Sondra <br />Cooper and Amanda Carnell <br />Call to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes from the June meeting. Danny Lundy seconded. <br />No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen introduced the Police Commission to the three newly hired police officers: Joshua <br />Obermeyer, Levi Martin and Eric Leap. Chief Allen advised that they will be attending the <br />Indiana Law Enforcement Academy from September 16th to December 27th. They will have their <br />physical agility assessment on September 91h. <br />Chief Allen updated that Police Commission on the move in date for the police department. <br />There is a tentative date set as August 12th as AT&T and Endeavor still need to finish up their <br />per• <br />Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the stats for June 2019. <br />Commissioner Danny Lundy updated the Police Commission that on Tuesday night the <br />Mooresville Town Board passed a letter of intent to engage an 14R agency. Commissioner Lundy <br />stated that the first thing that they would do is come in and look at all the policies, procedures, <br />SOP'S, directives for the Police Department as well as all the other departments in town. <br />Commissioner Lundy stated that this company only works with municipalities and that once they <br />review everything they will come back with their recommendations to bring us up to federal, <br />state and local standards. <br />Police Commission Attorney Charles Braun advised that since the last police commission <br />meeting, Larry Bryant has submitted his letter of resignation as a member of the Police <br />Commission. PC Attorney Braun stated that he wanted to publicly commend for his many years <br />of service to the police commission, to the police department and to the community. PC Attorney <br />Braun stated that he had the honor of being the attorney for the Mooresville Police commission <br />for many, many years and he had worked for a variety of commissioners on various tasks.
