Plan Commission Minutes <br />Thursday June 27th, 2019 <br />Members present: Tammy VanHook, Perry King, Jeff Dieterlen, <br />Mike Young, Dennis Chambers, Robert Alumbaugh, Jessica Hester <br />and attorney Mel Daniel. Dave Moore was absent. <br />Mike Young called the meeting to order, then called for a motion on <br />the previous minutes. Perry King made a motion to accept the March <br />minutes as presented, Jeff Dieterlen seconded the motion and the <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />The first item on the agenda is a rezone request presented by Brian <br />Moench on behalf of Richharts Self Storage located at 5623 E SR <br />144. The request is to go from Rl to B3, this would allow additional <br />public storage. Mr. Moench provided a large visual map board for the <br />commission members and audience to view, he stated the zoning of <br />surrounding properties. Jeff Dieterlen then reviewed items discussed <br />at the technical review meeting, Mike Young called for questions <br />from the Commissioners Perry King inquired about the hours and the <br />possibility of running a business from a storage unit: 24 hours with <br />little to no traffic after 10:00pm typically and no business front or <br />office type space, stored item for a business yes. Dennis Chambers <br />asked for clarification on inside storage verses outside, Mr. Moench <br />responded both, there has been an application filed with the BZA for <br />a variance on the outdoor storage. Jeff Dieterlen commented on the <br />need for screening for the outdoor storage. Mike Young then called <br />for questions and or comments from the audience. Tracy Hastings <br />spoke on behalf of the request, stating she was an existing storage <br />customer and was grateful to have the convenient location, the <br />property is well maintained, well lit along with personal customer <br />service. Mr. Longford, of a neighboring automotive repair shop stated <br />he appreciates how clean the property is kept, its run nicely and as he <br />typically works late into the evening, he sees very little traffic after <br />dark. Ed Williams, representing a neighbor, questioned the accuracy <br />
