Mooresville Plan Commission Minutes <br />Thursday December 12th, 2019 <br />Members present: Mike Young, Jeff Dieterlien, Dennis Chambers, <br />Tammy VanHook, Mark Taylor, Robert Alumbaugh, Perry King and <br />attorney Mel Daniel, Jessica Hester was absent. <br />Mike Young called the meeting to order, he then asked if there were <br />concerns or corrections on either the October or November minutes <br />when none were stated he called for a motion Jeff Dieterlen motioned to <br />approve both sets of minutes as presented, Dennis Chambers seconded <br />the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. Mike Young <br />then thanked David Moore for his service to the Plan Commission and <br />expressed appreciation for his knowledge and assistance prior to his <br />resigning recently. <br />The first item on the agenda is a rezone request at Professional Court, <br />presented by Ross Holloway of Holloway Engineering on behalf of Neff <br />Construction. The request is to go from PUD -E to B-3 with restricted <br />uses. Ross Holloway stated they were here to simply straight up ask for <br />a rezone, he addressed zoning of near by properties, explained as this is <br />a unique request it does not perfectly fit in any B zoning, he stated <br />drainage, traffic or no other concerns would be addressed this evening, <br />he indicated his client would like to wrap this matter up before years end <br />so requested a vote rather than a continuance of any kind. Mike Young <br />then called for questions from members of the Commission. Jeff <br />Dieterlen expressed concerns of the zoning request and its <br />appropriateness for the area and possible uses. Jeff Dieterlen went on to <br />review businesses in this classification requested. Dennis Chambers <br />asked if outdoor and indoor storage would both be restricted. Ross <br />replied no and provided the example that even florists must have indoor <br />storage areas. Mike Young then opened the questions and comments to <br />the audience. Dana Heidenreich spoke in length on concerns, he believes <br />this is another attempt to get the storage units previously requested, he <br />addressed traffic, drainage, potential crime increase, and the concerns of <br />
