Warthen urged the council to ensure all town services continue to be provided and the <br />employees of the town continue to be provided for during these times. Councilman Warthen <br />suggested that the Department heads work closely with their Council Liaisons to ensure <br />prudent spending (excluding utilities). Councilman Warthen made a motion for the Department <br />Heads to consult their Department Liaison for any department purchase over $1,500 and make <br />the Council aware of these purchases. This will be in effect until further notice. Councilman <br />Stanley seconded. Motion Carried 5-0 <br />COVID-19 Response—Councilman Williams attended a webinar for the Indiana Office of <br />Community and Rural Affairs about COVID-19 response program. There is an opportunity to <br />meet with the Community Liaison on Thursday April 91h at 10AM. It was agreed that Councilman <br />Williams and Councilman Stanley would attend the webinar in an effort to determine what <br />grants may be available to offer to small businesses in the community. <br />Councilman Williams informed the Council that the Chamber of Commerce wants to proceed <br />with the State of the Town address in May with plans to make it an electronic meeting. <br />The next scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, April 21, <br />2020 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center and electronically. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion to adjourn <br />was made by Councilman Warthen with a second from Councilwoman Hester. <br />Motion Carried 5-0. <br />Shane B.
