Councilman Warthen brought up the fact that the second payment of the server will be due in <br />January 2021 and he recommends making the final payment out of the Police Department fuel budget. <br />Fire Chief Dalton talked about the things that are done for the retirees for the Fire Department and <br />provided a copy of the run stats to the council. <br />Legal: <br />Equipment Technologies Property Acquisition - Town Attorney Lee has reached out to each <br />council member to explain this acquisition to them because of the expansion of Merriman Rd. <br />An eminent domain is needed in this case, and a fiber optic line that is necessary for the <br />business to continue to operate. <br />Councilman Warthen made a motion to exchange easements and offset that with a value of $80,500 <br />contingent upon the redevelopment commission reimbursing the Town for the cost. Councilman Cook <br />Seconded. Motion carried 4-0 <br />Public Comments: None <br />Councilman Warthen made the motion to approve claims for $380,372.10 seconded by <br />Councilman Stanley. Motion carried 4-0 <br />Town Council Comments: <br />Councilman Stanley thanked the absent Councilwoman Hester for her time and service to the council. <br />Council President Williams stated that Councilwoman Hester has resigned and a Republican party <br />Caucus will be held on December 10th to fill her seat. He thanked her for her service as well. Council <br />President Williams also mentioned that the State Board of Account performed an audit for 2018-2019, <br />and the Town did very well, and the only thing identified was missing initials on one form. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, December <br />15, 2020 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. There being no further business to come <br />before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Stanley and a second from <br />Councilman Cook.
