A final document will be presented at <br />a later date that will be signed and recorded. <br />Sanitary Sewer Easement- Councilman Warthen made a motion to accept the sanitary sewer <br />easement. Councilman Swinney seconded Motion carried 5-0 <br />Lift Station Utility Easement Councilman Warthen made a motion to accept the lift station <br />easement. Councilman Swinney seconded Motion carried 5-0 <br />Sanitary Sewer Force Main Easement- Councilman Stanley made a motion to accept the <br />sanitary sewer force main easement. Councilman Swinney seconded Motion carried 5-0 <br />Right of Way Easement Cherry Blossom -Councilman Stanley made a motion to accept the <br />Cherry Blossom right of way easement. Councilman Swinney seconded Motion carried 5-0 <br />Right of Way Easement Merriman Rd - Councilman Swinney motioned to accept the Merriman <br />Road right of way easement. Councilman Stanley seconded Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town attorney Lee let the Town know that Banning has been in contact, and 11 parcels have <br />been identified as needing easements for Phase 2. Banning will be coming to the council with <br />more details. <br />Public Comments: <br />None <br />Approval of Claims: <br />Councilman Stanley made the Motion to approve claims for $569,736.70 Councilman Cook seconded. <br />Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments: <br />Councilman Cook has been working with Dave Moore to establish a program to ensure that retirees are <br />honored and asked the council's consensus to continue this project. Town Attorney Lee mentioned that <br />a non -tax dollar fund would be required for this project. Councilman Cook mentioned possibly reaching <br />out to recently retired individuals to honor them. <br />Councilman Warthen wished everyone a Merry Christmas. <br />Councilman Swinney wished everyone a Merry Christmas. <br />Councilman Stanly also wished everyone a Merry Christmas, welcomed Councilman Swinney. <br />Council President Williams mentioned that the Town had been awarded the Community Crossing Grant <br />for the street paving projects; nearly $1,000,000 was awarded. A CARES act grant was also awarded for <br />$314,834. Deputy Clerk Debbie Monts was given recognition for securing the CARES act funds. He also <br />mentioned that Mooresville Towing donated the Christmas tree, and he appreciates that as well as the <br />street and park departments for the decorations. <br />Council President Williams read a prepared statement and unveiled a painting made by local artist <br />Jennifer McLeish which was donated from Rebecca & Shane Williams to the Mooresville Government <br />Center. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, January 5, <br />2021, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Stanley with a second from Councilman Swinney. Motion Carried 5-0. <br />
