Em <br />Randy Brown mentioned that he is having an issue as a school bus driver being passed illegally on the <br />right near Wendy's at intersection SR 67. Chief Julian responded that he is aware of the issue and <br />officers are writing tickets. He also requested that the Town fly more State flags and he presented <br />several State flags to Dave Moore. <br />Brian Turley came before the council to voice his opinion that he wishes there was more collaboration <br />and less undermining on the council, and between the town council, and other commissions and boards. <br />He commended Council President Warthen's character and integrity. More cooperation amongst the <br />members of the council and the other boards would benefit the Town as a whole. <br />Councilman Swinney made the motion to approve claims for $501,463.88. Councilman Cook seconded. <br />Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments — <br />Councilman Stanley gave an update on a forthcoming report regarding some complaints that were <br />presented about members of the planning commission. Council President Warthen thanked the <br />department heads for bringing forth the capital requests to the council. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, October <br />19, 2021 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council, a motion to adjourn was made by <br />Councilman Stanley with a second from Councilman Swinney.
