70 <br />Truck Signs- There is an ordinance that states that commercial trucks must leave Town using <br />the shortest route possible to a state highway. Dave has put up direction signs to the State <br />highways to enforce this ordinance, but they are currently covered. Council carne to a <br />consensus to uncoverthe signs to determine the effectiveness of the signs <br />Legal — <br />There were none <br />Public Comments — <br />There were none <br />Councilman Stanley made the motion to approve claims for $813,279.64. Councilman <br />Swinney seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments — <br />Councilman Cook expressed his thanks to all Town employees for their hard work and <br />dedication this year. It has not gone unnoticed and he requested that he would appreciate it if <br />his thanks could be sent to all Town employees. <br />Councilman Williams- Merry Christmas and Nappy New Year! <br />Councilman Swinney- Wished everyone Merry Christmas! <br />Councilman Stanley -Thanked the fellow council members for their service and referred to the <br />Council members as a family. <br />Council President Warthen stated he had received inquiries about who to contact forthe <br />Bicentennial celebration. Councilman Williams said that he would share the contact information <br />phone number with Councilman Warthen. Council President Warthen thanked everyone for the <br />great year, being in this together and it being a family. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, <br />January 3, 2022 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government center <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion to adjourn <br />was made by Councilman Stanley with a second from Councilman Swinney.
