Councilman Swinney seconded. <br />Motion carried 5-0 <br />MIBOR Housing, EDC, and BAGI - Chris Pryor with MIBOR Realtor Association and Kate Collins with <br />Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis gave a presentation with an update on the housing status in <br />Morgan County. Housing demand is high, and there is a lot of pressure on the market. The median <br />sales price for an existing home in Mooresville is $310,000. New home prices for the nine -county areas <br />are averaging $406,000. Recent home sales are up 23% over the previous year. Mooresville's <br />affordability is just under 40%. According to a study, there will be a continued housing demand. He <br />mentioned being aware of the types of housing offered to accommodate single -person households, <br />multi -generational homes, and everything in between. The ultimate goal of housing is to house the <br />workforce of the businesses in the area. <br />New Business — <br />Expired Terms on all Boards—Two positions expired on the Planning Commission, Council President <br />Warthen made the executive reappointments of Josh Brown and Kim Schofield to the planning <br />commission. <br />The Parks Department has one Council -appointed expiration for a non -republican appointment open for <br />applications. <br />The Police Commission has one non -republican Council appointed position that has expired. <br />Christopher Hobbick is agreeable to continue serving on the commission for the 3 -year term <br />Councilman Stanley motioned to reappoint Christopher Hobbick to the Police Comm issionCouncilman, <br />Swinney seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Council President Warthen mentioned the Redevelopment Commission is a five -person board whose <br />appointments are up yearly, and two are Council appointments. <br />Councilman Swinney nominated Erin Pipkin to the commission. Councilman Stanley seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-2 Councilman Williams, and Councilman Cook opposed. <br />Councilman Williams asks the council members who Erin Pipken would be replacing on the commission. <br />I don't know stated President Warthen because we still have to appoint four other members. <br />Councilman Swinney nominated Councilman Stanley to the Redevelopment Commission as President. <br />Councilman Stanley seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Council President Warthen made the executive reappointments of Ryan Taylor, Brian Culp, and <br />Dana Heidenreich to the Redevelopment Commission. <br />The School Board recommended Dr. lake Allen as the non-voting member of the Redevelopment <br />Commission. Council President Warthen accepted the recommendation and appointed Dr. Jake Allen as <br />a non-voting member of the Redevelopment Commission. <br />Councilman Williams and Councilman Stanley both expressed interest in being appointed to the EDC of <br />Morgan County board. Councilman Swinney made the motion to appoint Councilman Wiliams and <br />Councilman Stanley to the EDC of Morgan County. Councilman Cook seconded. Motion Carried 5-0 <br />Councilman Stanley made a motion to retain Councilman Williams and Dave Moore on the MPO. <br />Councilman Swinney seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Council President Warthen asked the Town Council about the town employee appointments to <br />
