February 25, 2022
Shane Williams, Member
Mooresville Town Council
4 E. Harrison Street,
Mooresville, Indiana 46358
R€: Letter of Apology Dated 2123 2022
Dear Council Members:
Thank you for your letter of February 23, 2022.1 appreciate your support and intention to revisit the established Town
Council Appointment policy and the application process regarding my illegitimate replacement on the Mooresville
Redevelopment Commission January of this year.
The Town Council made an emotional response to an allegation that was unfounded and in doing so, did not follow the
appointment policy that they themselves had established and adopted.
After reviewing the letter in question from October 2020, it is obvious that the vendor in question used that document
to replace me on the Redevelopment Commission in January 2022, when 1 voted against renewing her contract with an
increase in salary. There was no mention of the letter at the time it was received, and the recipient just sent it to the
president of the ivicoresville Redevelopment Commission and their attorney. No action or mention of that letter aga;
until after the denial to renew her contract with the increase in January 2022. Then all the sudden the letter again ca
to the surface and was an issue_ Very convenient.
All businesses should not he surprised that they are subject to scrutiny and investigation, especially by a government
entity ivho is responsible for the spending of taxpayer's funds. That should be standard practice.
I am hopeful that the Town Council has learned from this and will continue to follow the policies, resolution, and
ordinances they have adopted and approved_ The failure to be transparent isobvious in this situation.
As to beginning the application process again for the position of the Mooresville Redevelopment commission, I am no
longer am interested in applying for that position at this time_ i have moved on to other interests where my expertise is
needed and appreciated_
Thank you again for your interest.
102 fountain Drive ✓
Mooresville, Indiana 4.635-0
