Asst. Supt. Simpson updated the Board on maintenance projects. All bathrooms, except Old Town <br />Park, have been open for the summer season. Drinking fountains will be available by the end of the <br />week as we wait out the last few cold nights/mornings. The mowing crew will begin within the week. <br />Day-to-day maintenance includes Storybook trail posts uncovered, starting to clean, power wash, <br />patch and paint pool, pool pump fixed and installation, trail cleaning, and general landscaping. <br />The pool heater was delivered and is being installed now. <br />The lift station pump went out in the middle of March. A new pump has been ordered. Board member <br />Taylor asks that a formal request be made for the lift station to be managed by the Wastewater <br />Department. <br />Board member Taylor informed the Board of damage at Bicentennial Park by individuals <br />skateboarding. Motion made by Taylor requesting that skateboarding not be allowed at Bicentennial <br />Park and a sign be posted seconded David Pearson. Motion carried. <br />Claims approved as presented. Motion made by Lynn Adams, seconded by David Pearson Motion <br />carried. <br />Board President Bechtold asked the Board if public comments should be added to the agenda. <br />Discussion ensued. The comments and questions section on the agenda would be where the public <br />could input their thoughts. <br />Board Member Saner discussed an issue at the soccer fields where there is a small ditch by a field tile <br />that has cars bottom out in the grass. A barrier will be placed there to keep cars from driving on that <br />part of the grass. <br />The next meeting is on May 9, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Mooresville Public Library. <br />The meeting was adjourned by David Pearson, seconded by Danny Shaw.
