Part-time seasonal employees will be placed on the <br />monthly agenda but do not require Motion for approval. <br />Fom Shock and Dave Richman representing St. Thomas More are requesting the use of the mobile <br />stage for Saturday, June 18 for the Church's new community festival. After discussing the size of the <br />stage, St. Thomas More has withdrawn their request. Park Board discussed the stage rental policy, <br />including guidelines and initial fees and would like it added to the list of procedures to be reviewed. <br />Mooresville Street Fairs are scheduled for May 14, July 9, and September 17. The Town Council has <br />approved the Street Fairs, with the condition that the Park Board approve the use of Bicentennial Park <br />on these dates. A Special Request Form and Certificate of Insurance has not been received as of date. <br />The Park Board showed concern about approving without having the documentation. The Special <br />Event Form and required C of I must be presented to the Park Board before the May meeting, or the <br />Mooresville Street Fair cannot occur in Bicentennial Park. <br />The YMCA of Morgan County is planning a 5k run/walk series on the last Wednesday of the month at <br />different parks throughout the summer. They are requesting to have a 5k in Pioneer Park on <br />Wednesday, August 31, at 6 pm. The event is free, and participants receive a t -shirt. Motion to <br />approve YMCA of Morgan County use of Pioneer Park with fee waived for a 5K made by Matt Saner, <br />seconded by Brian Wiser. Motion carried. <br />Supt Wilson informed the Board of a request from Control Ciaos Dog Training. The group is looking <br />for a field space approximately 30x30 and would have no more than two dogs training out at the <br />same time but could have 6-10 people (some with multiple dogs). The training dates would be once <br />weekly through August. All dogs are fully trained, and they have records of all shots plus liability <br />insurance. Discussion ensued. Supt. Wilson asked the Park Board to talk about guidelines and fees for <br />special groups using the Park and establish a policy and fee structure for green space. <br />In March, the DNR did a routine inspection of Pioneer Park because we had used Land and Water <br />Conservation Fund (LWCF) assistance to acquire, develop or renovate the property. While no <br />corrective action is needed, they did recommend that park property deeds have Deed Protection <br />Language to protect the property from anything other than outdoor recreation use. Supt. Wilson is <br />looking into if we have an encumbered deed with such language for any parcels that used LWCF <br />monies. <br />Supt. Wilson asked the Board if the Park should keep the utilities on in the two properties (J1/J2) <br />adjacent to Pioneer Park. Discussion ensued. Motion to approve turn off all utilities of the purchased <br />houses made by Lynn Adams, seconded by Brian Wiser. Motion Carried <br />Asst. Superintendent Simpson informed the Board that there are no new employees this time, and he <br />is interviewing daily and is still looking for summer employees. <br />RECU Contract through 2022 - 2024 is waiting for School Board approval. The school board meets <br />Tuesday, April 12. <br />
