Councilman Williams stated that he asked Legal to give an <br />update because the requester has stated that the Town has not responded to his requests and <br />has filed complaints with the Public Access Counselor. <br />Public Comments —There were none. <br />Approval of Claims—A motion to approve the payment of claims in the amount of <br />$1,770,349.93 was made by Councilman Stanley and second by Councilman Swinney. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />Town Council Comments — Councilman Williams stated that he passed out a template from <br />Paige Sansone at Baker Tilly and would like it to be used as a guide for the Department Heads in <br />preparing their budget presentations. Councilman Swinney stated he was happy that the Baby <br />Box was used and they baby would have a better life. Councilman Stanley gave credit to the <br />EMS workers and Chief Dalton, as well as current and past councils, and stated that the baby's <br />mother is the hero. President Warthen stated that the Baby Box was funded by donations from <br />the public and people standing up and saying this is what they wanted to do. He stated the <br />love and bravery of the baby's mother was amazing and he thanked Councilman Stanley for <br />making Mooresville a better place. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Stanley, second by Councilman Cook and carried 5-0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on July 19, 2022, beginning at 6:30pm, at <br />the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Tom Warthen, President <br />ATTEST: <br />Dianna L.
