Town Council Comments —The Council thanked the Police Commission, Brock Chipman and all <br />the other applicants. They welcomed new Chief, Kerry Buckner. Councilman Stanley said to <br />remember the kids as they head back to school. President Warthen stated the Town received a <br />thank you card from the family of Rachel Grey for recognizing her value and her worth in this <br />town over her 100 years. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council or Police Commission at this time, a <br />motion was made by Christopher Hobbick and second by Ernest Wilson to adjourn the <br />Metropolitan Police Commission meeting. Motion carried 2-0. William Settle had left the <br />meeting. <br />A motion to adjourn the Town Council meeting was made by Councilman Stanley, second by Councilman <br />Swinney and carried 5-0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on August 16, 2022, beginning at 6:30pm, <br />at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Tom Warthen, President <br />ATTEST: <br />4�_ mm�' <br />Dianna L.
