Motion carried 5-0 <br />Chief Buckner also found several older model computers in the station that had been scrubbed, <br />and he would like to donate them to the school's computer science program. These will need to <br />be deemed as surplus to donate to the school. <br />Kris Wilson from the Parks Department presented a request to annex five parcels of land. <br />Attorney, Lee stated that all information had been received, a resolution would be drawn up, <br />and a public hearing would be scheduled. There was a discussion on the names of the parks <br />department that the deeds are under and the impending unification of those names. <br />The Old Town Parks restrooms replacement has been on the capital improvement for several <br />years. They want to demolish the existing restrooms and purchase a pre -fab restroom building. <br />The building would be ready in the late spring or early summer of 2022. The total cost for the <br />new restrooms would be $173,916. The current capital improvement fund in the parks <br />department has been traditionally reserved for improvements or emergencies related to the <br />aquatic center, and other capital improvements are being discussed. There was a discussion of <br />cameras being installed at Old Town Park, but the internet infrastructure is not there to support <br />the installation. There was some discussion about whether to use Food and Beverage or the <br />Park's Capital Improvement fund. Kris is apprehensive about fully funding the project from the <br />non -reverting fund and is open to partial funding from Food and Beverage and the non - <br />reverting fund. She will be approaching the Park Board about funding % of the project. <br />Councilman Stanley motioned to fund % ofthis project from the Food and Beverage fund. <br />Councilman Sweeney seconded. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Legal — <br />Attorney Lee reported that the Organizational chart is being finalized, so the ADA transition <br />should be ready for action at the next meeting. <br />Public Comments — <br />There were none. <br />Approval of Claims - <br />Councilman Stanley made the motion to approve claims for $601,560.90. Councilman Swinney <br />seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments— <br />Councilman Cook thanked Clerk -Treasurer Wamsley and the clerk's office for setting up the <br />budget workshop at the previous meeting. <br />Councilman Williams let the public know that if they are interested in participating in the 200th <br />anniversary in 2024, they can go to Mooresville200,com to register to volunteer. He also <br />mentioned the passing of Jack Ward and wanted to recognize the contributions to the town <br />that he and his family have brought over the years. <br />Councilman Swinney mentioned that the RDC would submit proposal requests for the Main St. <br />Project. <br />
