Councilman Williams made a motion for Chief Dalton to move forward with the <br />ordering of the equipment. Councilman Cook seconded. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Town Attorney Lee presented Resolutionl8-2022 with a list of supplies that Chief Dalton like to <br />declare as surplus that would be auctioned off through the school on October 26th. Councilman <br />Williams made a motion to allow the items to be declared as surplus. Councilman Cook <br />Seconded. Motion carried 4-0-1. Council member Tom Warthen opposed it. <br />Legal —There were none. <br />Public Comments—There were none. <br />Approval of Claims - <br />Councilman Stanley made the motion to approve claims in the amount of $469,930.44. Councilman <br />Williams seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments— <br />Councilman Williams mentioned the cards for the 200th anniversary that are available. He also <br />acknowledged the time and efforts of Dave Moore, the street department, the fire department, and <br />Gentry in order to demolish the building on Main Street. <br />Councilman Swinney also acknowledged a good job from Gentry on the demolition. <br />Councilman Stanley reminded the public that the RDC does not have control of the state roads, and <br />while he understands the frustrations, the RDC cannot do anything but encourage the public to direct <br />their concerns to INDOT. <br />Council President Warthen mentioned that Chief Buckner would like to acknowledge the official <br />Halloween Trick or Treat hours to be on October 31st from 5 PM to 8 PM. This was agreed upon as a <br />consensus of the council members. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, <br />November 1, 2022 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Stanley with a second from Councilman Williams Motion.
