Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation/Ivy Tech Career Center Request: The school corporation <br />requests $300,000 for a welding lab and stations that will be constructed at the former bus garage. <br />Commissioner Culp made a motion to approve resolution 2022-5. Commissioner Pipkin seconded the <br />motion, which carried 4-0. <br />Commissioner Culp made a motion to approve the agreement for educational and training programs, <br />which awards the requested funds, and naming Commissioner Taylor as signatory. Commissioner Pipkin <br />seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. <br />Legal/Managerial update: Nothing to report from Legal. Project Manager Manns reported she has been <br />fielding calls regarding the business park and hopes to have something to report before the next <br />meeting. <br />Review of Claims: The claims were presented in the amount of $327,392.04. Commissioner Culp made <br />the motion to approve the claims as presented. Commissioner Pipkin seconded the motion, which <br />carried 4-0. <br />For the good of the order: Commissioner Heidenreich said he has fielded concerns from members of the <br />public regarding changing the commission's meeting time for 2023 to a time during the workday. There <br />will be further discussion at the January meeting. Commissioner Culp made a motion that the first <br />meeting of the year be at 6 p.m. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. <br />The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2022. <br />Commissioner Culp made the motion to adjourn.
