The baseball pathway pavement accessibility project has been completed, and the department is looking <br />for additional ways to make the parks more accessible to those with mobility difficulties. <br />The Mooresville Community Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Carpenter Relators will be held at the park on <br />April 8th at 11 AM. <br />Phil requested a volunteer from the council to sit on the review committee for an upcoming project <br />exploring the potential expansion plans and additional use of the northern parcels of Pioneer Park. <br />Councilman Swinney volunteered to be on that review committee. He anticipates having the initial <br />concept and master plan by the end of May. <br />Dave Moore gave an update on the excess salt situation. He is in contact with Morton. They are working <br />with the state and discussing a possible storage fee for the excess, as Mooresville is one of many <br />communities that ran into this situation this year. The street sweeper will be starting in the next couple <br />of weeks. He has put out feelers for new trucks, but there is no update at this time. <br />Legal — <br />There were none. <br />Public Comments — <br />Susan Snyder came before the council to bring an opportunity to the town offered to municipalities <br />throughout the state by a coalition of the Indiana Office of Technology, Purdue University, and Indiana <br />University to assist municipalities in strengthening their cyber security posture. This program is being <br />offered at no cost to the communities. Clerk -Treasurer Dianna Wamsley said her office registered last <br />week to attend the virtual meeting and extended an invitation to the Town's Information Technology <br />service provider. <br />Councilman Swinney made the motion to approve claims of $677,642.35. Councilman Brown seconded. <br />Motion carried 5-0 <br />Councilman Swinney made the motion to approve payroll clearing of $230,630.57. Councilman Brown <br />seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments — <br />Councilman Swinney made mention of the recent storms and encouraged others to donate funds to help <br />those impacted by the recent storms. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, April 18, <br />2023 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center <br />With no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made by <br />Councilman Brown with a second from Councilman Cook.
