anyone else has had an issue and Phil stated he knows there is currently an issue in Fishers with <br />their heater from the same manufacturer. Councilman Cook asked if the air conditioning was <br />working out at the park and Phil stated he hired Economy to repair the motor and the air is <br />working. <br />Legal Counsel —There was nothing to report at this time. <br />Public Comments - Dave Snyder of West High Street was questioning if Main Street would be <br />closed during the concerts on the dates that they coincide with the street fairs, since Main is <br />closed during the street fairs. Phil stated that there is a three-hour window between and he <br />will leave that up to the Police to decide, but on the other dates, Main will remain open. <br />Fire Chief, Matt Dalton, asked about the resolution to declare their staff vehicle as surplus. He <br />will email the vehicle information to Attorney Lee and he will create the resolution. <br />Motion for Approval of Claims —A motion to approve vouchers in the amount of $2,444,043.26 <br />was made by Councilman Swinney and second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. <br />A motion for the approval of payroll clearing vouchers in the amount of $197,327.95 was made <br />by Councilman Swinney and second by Councilman Brown. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Council Comments — Councilman Brown reported that the banners have been ordered and <br />should be up by July 4th, and the Farmer's Markets have started on Tuesdays from 3-6 pm. <br />President Warthen stated he received an email from Keely Wright of the Kendrick Foundation <br />saying they did not receive the grant that the Council had agreed to match $24,000. She was <br />asking if the Council would still be willing to contribute those funds to cover the cost of a <br />facilitator. The Council agree they should still contribute the funds. Attorney Lee <br />recommended the Council take action to make it a donation, since the previous action was <br />pertaining to a grant match. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Cook and second by Councilman Brown to make a donation <br />over two years to the Kendrick Foundation in the amount of $24,000. Motion carried 4-0. <br />President Warthen stated the first meeting in July will fall on the 4th. A motion to move the <br />meeting to the 3rd was made by Councilman Cook and second by Councilman Brown. Motion <br />carried 4-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion to adjourn <br />was made by Councilman Swinney, second by Councilman Brown and carried 4-0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on June 6, 2023, beginning at <br />6:30 pm at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Tom Warthen, President <br />ATTEST: <br />Dianna L.
