There was no cost for SME's services regarding grant <br />submittal. <br />Baker Tilly provided the annual report to the underlying taxing units. <br />The Town Council and Indiana Department of Transportation and the Commission entered into an <br />MOU to provide an upgrade to the signal poles at the intersection of High and Monroe Streets to <br />match the Gateway. The Commission approved Resolution 2022-3 regarding a reimbursement <br />agreementfor an amount not to exceed $81,000. <br />A Main Street subcommittee was formed to investigate the need for redevelopment of Main <br />Street. After much discussion, it was decided to table discussions as to not coincide construction <br />with Mooresville's bicentennial. <br />The Commission began to work on a plan amendment to support the potential purchase of <br />property for the Fire Department for a training facility as well as a fencing project for the Police <br />Department. The Plan Amendment ultimately was completed in 2023. The two projects were not <br />to exceed $250,000 and $175,000 respectively. <br />In cooperation with the Town and Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation, the Commission <br />entered into an agreement with Banning Engineering for $200,000 for survey and site design for <br />improvements to the Monroe and High Street corridor. <br />The Commission approved Resolution 2022-5 in addition to an Agreement for Educational and <br />Training Services which approved the funding of $300,000 to be used in the school's partnership <br />with Ivy Tech to assist in welding bays <br />Commissioner Heidenreich suggested 'Inspection periods' be added to the first paragraph, which was <br />added. Commissioner Heidenreich made the motion to approve the report with the modification of <br />inspection reports added. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion, which carried 3-0. <br />Legal/Managerial update: Attorney Steuerwald shared there will be a legislative update in May as they <br />are still monitoring proposed changes to TIF <br />Manns shared she had a meeting with Chris King of Runnebohm. She provided feedback regarding the <br />County Legal Drain in Flagstaff and directed Commissioner Williams to request additional questions <br />regarding erosion to County Surveyor Brock. She also shared she worked with INDOT who will be paying <br />for the second banner posts on High Street as that was overlooked on the set plans. <br />
