SECTION VIII. PARKS DEPARTMENT <br />Paid from Park & Recreation Fund Rate of Pay (to be paid in equal bi-weekly <br />increments for salary and rate of pay by <br />hourly pay periods bi-weekly) <br />Park Superintendent <br />Office Manager <br />Assistant Superintendent <br />(Aquatic/Recreation Director) <br />Maintenance Supervisor <br />Maintenance Technician <br />*Recreation Coordinator <br />(paid from Park Non -Reverting Operating Fund) <br />Park Board Members <br />(paid from Park Non -reverting Operating Fund) <br />$2,552.29 bi-weekly <br />25.69 per hour <br />28.60 per hour <br />25.90 per hour <br />22.69 per hour <br />22.35 per hour <br />$50.00 per meeting attended <br />*NOTE: This position is to be reviewed annually to verify that the position is being <br />covered by the user fees from the "Before and After School Program" which is pursuant <br />to an agreement with the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation and the <br />Mooresville Park & Recreation District. In the event the user fees are not covering <br />the position, the Town Council reserves the right to terminate this position. <br />The Park Superintendent shall not be paid overtime so long as the requirements <br />of the Fair Labor Standards Act provide for making this an exempt position. The <br />Park Superintendent shall receive compensatory time off for time worked in excess <br />of 40 hours where they are exempt from overtime under the Fair Labor Standards <br />Act at the rate of 1 to 1, 1 hour off for every 1 hour worked. <br />Overtime for Park & Recreation District employees shall be granted to the Assistant <br />Superintendent/Aquatics & Recreation Director, Office Manager, Maintenance <br />Supervisor, Recreation Coordinator (RECU), and Maintenance Coordinator exempting <br />seasonal workers under the Fair Labor Standards Act that would qualify for this <br />exemption. Employees that are not exempt shall be entitled to overtime as defined <br />by the Town's overtime policy. For every 1 hour in excess of 40 hours a week worked <br />the aforementioned employees shall be paid 1'/z hour wages. <br />Full -Time employees shall receive a benefit of 14.2% of their salary paid by the Town <br />to PERF. <br />
