Calvin Boultbee gave an update on the WWTP projects. <br />Legal — <br />Town Attorney Lee presented an access easement to Hill Water Corporation's new treatment plant. Hill <br />Water is granting the Town the right to access its property if there is a 100 -year flood due to stormwater. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to accept the access easement seconded by Councilman Brown. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />He also updated the council on an order for 315 Bolton Street to vacate by 4:00 PM December 20, 2023, <br />Council President Warthen requested an executive session be scheduled before the next council <br />meeting. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to schedule an executive session at 5:30 PM on January 2, 2024. <br />Councilman Brown Seconded. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Public Comments— <br />There were none. <br />Approval of Claims - <br />Councilman Swinney made the motion to approve claims in the amount of $1,323,865.68. Councilman <br />Brown seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Approval of Payroll Clearing - <br />Councilman Swinney made the motion to approve payroll clearing in the amount of $193,076.73. <br />Councilman Brown seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments — <br />Councilman Williams' term will end on December 31, 2023. He took the opportunity to express his <br />gratitude for serving the community. He also commended the department heads for their dedication. <br />A plaque was presented to Councilman Williams as a token of appreciation for his services. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, January 2, <br />2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Williams with a second from Councilman Swinney.
