The motion to approve the transfer was <br />made by Shane Williams and seconded by Josh Brown. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Town Attorney Chou-il-Lee confirmed that the Public -Right -of -Way dedication for PacMoore only <br />requires a motion. Councilman Swinney motioned to accept the drive into the town. Councilman <br />Swinney motioned to approve the dedication and deed of the public right of way. Councilman Williams <br />seconded. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Street Fair Schedule - Regina Shelby presented the street fair dates for 2024, May 11, July 20, and <br />September 141h. The fair will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There was some discussion about using <br />hard barricades on wheels, using stock sticks on the other side of the barricades, or using water <br />barricades. <br />The street closure permits were approved, subject to the police and fire chief signing off on using <br />barricades. Councilman Williams motioned to approve the street closure permits, and Councilman Cook <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-2. Councilman Warthen and Councilman Brown opposed. <br />Department Head Reports— <br />Street Superintendent Dave Moore gave a year-end recap of projects completed throughout the town. <br />Chief Dalton gave an update on the search for air packs as the current ones are rapidly approaching the <br />end of life. MSA quote is $274,281.60 plus $12,300 for new racks. MES quote was $403,210.00. Chief <br />Dalton recommended going with MES due to current compatibility and reported issues with the MSA <br />masks. Town Attorney Lee and Chief Dalton will collaborate to review the bids. There was a discussion <br />about the Sourcewell procurement solution. <br />Councilman Swinney made a motion to table until the next meeting. Councilman Brown seconded. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Chief Buckner gave updates on personnel, Christmas for Kids, flock cameras, and a donated Humvee. <br />Phil Cornelius provided an update on the proposal for cameras and doors. He requested approval to <br />release a Request for Proposal for the project. Councilman Brown motioned to proceed with the RFP, <br />which Council Swinney seconded. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
