1925E <br />Park Superintendent Phil Cornelius mentioned during a work session on December 19 that the park <br />gathered to initiate the Pioneer Park improvement project. It was concluded that the build -operate <br />transfer (BOT) model would be the most suitable for this project. During their January meeting, the park <br />board approved the release of a request for proposal (RFP) and qualification to solicit proposals from <br />qualified developers for the BOT process. The project timeline would involve a groundbreaking in the <br />summer of 2024 and completion in 2025. Proposals are expected to be submitted by January 31. <br />During Chief of Police Buckner's year-end 2023 status report, he mentioned that the newly insta,.[�!d_flock <br />cameras have assisted in 100 arrests. This highlights the effectiveness of the flock cameras in enhancing <br />law enforcement efforts. The chief expressed his hope to have more opportunities to purchase additional <br />cameras soon. <br />Fire Chief Dalton updated the council members regarding a firefighter's departure to join another fire <br />department. <br />Chief Dalton shared quotes with the council members for digital signs at the Government Center and Police <br />Department.
