_ MONTHLY MOORESVILLE PARI( BOARD MEETING MINUTES <br />lU1V S 202l� <br />7.1.2 Our summer season is winding down. The pool will close on Sunday, August 4th. Staff <br />have been doing a greatjob, and we will continue to provide outstanding service to our <br />community in the next couple of weeks. Our summer staff appreciation cookout will <br />occur on Thursday, July 25th, after the pool closes. <br />7.1.3 Our Summer Concert series will ramp up again after the Holiday. We will host concerts <br />in Pioneer on July 12th and 26th and then one at Bicentennial on July 18th. The first <br />concert of the year that was cancelled due to the weather will be Thursday, August 15th. <br />7.2 Superintendent Report <br />7.2.1 Parks Master Plan Project Update <br />7.2.1.1 Mooresville Parks received over 190 survey responses for our last report and <br />the survey is now closed. With this number of responses, our survey certainty is <br />95% with a margin of error of 7%, allowing us to be 88% confident in the <br />current survey results. <br />8. CITIZEN'S COMMENTS <br />No Citizen Comments <br />9. BOARD MEMBER'S COMMENTS <br />The board discussed the opportunity of land acquisition in Brown Township. Any land coming on <br />the market outside of Brown Township would require an executive session. <br />Upon motion by Danny Lundy and seconded by Danny Shaw, the board voted 7/0 to authorize <br />Superintendent Cornelius to obtain two certified appraisals, up to $3000, with the approval of <br />Board President Matt Saner, if land in Brown Township becomes available in 2024. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Upon a motion made by Mark Taylor, seconded by Danny Lundy, the Board adjourned at 8:16 pm, <br />Matt Saner — President Date <br />f a� <br />z <br />Danny Sha; —Secretary Date <br />
