1999 <br />March 4, 2025 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 6:30 PM at <br />the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were Council President Tom Warthen, Councilman Greg Swinney, <br />Councilman Josh Brown, and Councilman Witt. Town Attorney Chou -if Lee was also present. <br />Councilman Cook was absent. <br />Council President Warthen gave the invocation and called the meeting to order. <br />Councilman Brown motioned to approve the March 4, 2025, meeting minutes, seconded by <br />Councilman Witt. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Unfinished Business: <br />DPW Superintendent Brian Moore was unable to attend the council meeting. However, he <br />recommended awarding the cemetery mowing agreement to Addair Lan Care, as they were the <br />lowest bidder and have successfully held the contract for the past two years. <br />Councilman Brown motioned to award the bid to Addair Lawn Care, seconded by Councilman <br />Swinney. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Declaratory Resolution 6-2025 Designating Economic Revitalization Area. Pertains to Innovation <br />Park 67 and Reid Trucking Company, responsible for repairing over -the -road vehicles. The <br />company is expected to employ eight employees. Councilman Warthen noted that the $30,000 <br />salary was a typo. He confirmed that the correction would be made to the SB -1 with the <br />confirmatory resolution. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve Declaratory Resolution 6, 2025, seconded by <br />Councilman Brown. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Declaratory Resolution 7-2025 Designating Economic Revitalization Area and qualifying certain <br />personal property for tax abatement — Sun Polymers International Inc. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve Resolution 7-2025, seconded by Councilman Brown. <br />Motin carried 4-0. <br />Declaratory Resolution 8-2025 Designating Economic Revitalization Area and qualifying certain <br />real property for tax abatement- Sun Polymers International Inc. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve Resolution 8-2025, seconded by Councilman Brown. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />New Business: <br />Overton Industries submitted their CF -1 personal property Resolution 5, 2021. They estimated <br />an investment of $200,000, while the actual investment was $219,670. They estimated <br />employment at 51 positions, but the actual employment reached 63 positions. <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to find Overton Industries in compliance, seconded by <br />Councilman Brown. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Overton Industries submitted their CF -1 personal property Resolution 4, 2022. They estimated <br />the investment at $179,000 and estimated employment at 45 positions, but the actual <br />employment reached 63. <br />
