i <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to find Overton Industries in compliance, seconded by <br />Councilman Brown. Motion carried 4-0. <br />CF -1 Resolution 19-2022 and Resolution 20 -2022 were on the agenda, but they were removed <br />at Overton Industries' request. <br />Department Head Reports: <br />Police Chief Buckner reported that two candidates have completed their physical evaluations and <br />will schedule a pension board meeting. The third candidate, who is from Mooresville, is currently <br />completing her PERF paperwork. <br />Legal: <br />Attorney Chou-il Lee will have information regarding property tax legislation for the March 18th <br />meeting. <br />Approval of Claims: <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve claims of $629,322.64. Seconded by Councilman <br />Brown. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Approval of Payroll Clearing: <br />Councilman Swinney motioned to approve claims of $247,135.26, seconded by Councilman <br />Brown. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Public Comments: <br />Linda Fread, who resides at 871 Edgewood Drive, addressed the council regarding a water <br />retention issue caused by inadequate drainage at the rear of her property. Councilman Warthen <br />said he would have the Department of Public Works assess the situation to evaluate potential <br />solutions. <br />Town Council Comments: <br />There were none. <br />The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, March 18, <br />2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />With no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Swinney, with a second from Councilman Witt.
