BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> November 17, 1999 7:00 p.m_ <br /> <br />The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met for their regular meeting <br />on the third Wednesday of the month, at 7:00 p. m <br /> <br />Board members present were Donald Ban'y, Alan Kramar, Mike Young and <br />Jeff Justice. Tim Curreus, Town attorney was also present <br /> <br />The first item of the agenda was the approval of the October 20,1999 minutes. <br />There was a motion from Alan I~ramar to approve the mind,es as written. A <br />second came from Mike Young, the vote was 4-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />Joe Juliano ceme before the board requesting a variance for a sign variance <br />for 321 1/2 Indianapolis Road. Mr Juliano presented a letier from Sonny Pen3~. the <br />owner of the property stating that Mr Juliano had his permission to place the sign on this <br />property.. The sign is to be for the adverting of Juliano's business. Tim Cun-ens asked what <br />the size of the sign would be. Mr Jualmo stated the sign would be four feet by <br />eight feet. Mr Currens that the sign was within guide lines for B-3. Mr. Barry <br />ask if the sign would be lighted. Mr Jualino answered, that it would not be lighted <br />With no figther questions form the board or the floor Mr Barry read the Developmental <br />Standards. A motion to approve the sign variance was make by Alan Kramer and <br />seconded by Mike Young. The vote ca,tied 4~0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />Nex~ on the agenda was SBA Inc. (Sprint) asking for a variance from developmental <br />standards. Jim Petty and Engineer Ben Masters were here to represent SBA_ <br />The variance would be needed to mount a crown antenna on the United Water tower <br />To enhance the coverage m the Mooresville area_ The antetma would be approximately <br />161 feet which is 121 feet over the maximum height limitation. Mr. Perry ext~lamed <br />that a cable would come down one leg of the tower and that it would be painted to <br />match the water tower. Also a variance for use is also needed. Gary Kmcaid stated <br />that he had access to the property in question by a gate in his back yard, he asked <br />if that would change. Mr. Pen~ told Mr Kincaid that noflaing would change in that <br />area_ Alan Kremer asked how many antenna's would be mounted. Mr Perry. said <br />that it would be three sectors (three small panels). Mr Kincaid also asked if there <br />would be a problem with reception regarding TV or telephone. Mr. Masters answered <br />that there would be no interference with Television or cordless phones. Jo Ketner made <br />a comment that, she works at Kendricks Hospital and there is a real need for this <br />antenna. She stated it was a real problem for the Doctors to get their pages etc. <br /> <br /> <br />
