With no fin~er questions form the board or the floor, The developmental standards <br />were read by Don Bany on the use variance. After the reading a motion was made <br />by Mike Young to approve the use variance the second was bom Alan Framer. <br />The motion carried 4-0 ~vith none opposed. With no further questions on the variance <br />of height the Developmental Standards were read. Motion to approve the variance <br />for the height to be 161 feet was make by Alan Framer and seconded by SeffJ'ustice, <br />motion carried 4-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />JohnLarsen from Holloway and Associates came before the board to request <br />variance of use for Shannon Karr. The property involved is 1301 Shady. Lane. <br />The proposed use is to build a garage for auto repair, the garage is pl~ed to be <br />in the center of the property which would have them around ~00 feet from the <br />closest house. The business plan is for a quick in and out repair with out having <br />a lot of cars setting around. The business is to be only a part-time business because <br />Mr. Kan- has a part time job at a dealership. Mr. Larsen said that they had already <br />changed the location of the building at one neighbors request Mr Iiarr is extremely <br />mstice-go~ to the size of building, the hours of operation and the number of cars that <br />will be going_ in and out <br /> <br />A neighbor of 1301 Shady. Lane along with Tim and Diana Flack also from Shady Lane <br />expressed concern because of changes and different stories being told about the <br />operation of the Repair Shop. They also feel that this is a residential area. Mr. Larsen <br />stated that Mr. Kart is willing to limit the hours of operations etc. to accommodate <br />the neighbors. Mr Kan' also spoke to say that his intent was to build a three to four <br />car garage to be able to house all autos and equipment. He could go to something <br />about 36 by 60 to be able to get the variance. At this time Mr. Barry read the develp- <br />mental standards., and asked for a motion on the variance. Alan Framer motion <br />to accept the variance with some reslrictions such as the operating hours to be <br />6 to 10 p.m., no cars stored outside and staying to services stated; eleclrical, tune ups <br />and brake service. The motion died for a lack ora second. Mike Young motioned <br />to have Mr. Kart return next month, which will be December. Mr Kan' should get <br />with the neighbors to work out any problems and the signage issue should be resolved. <br />the second came from Alan Franker to table until next month.
