Mr. Robert Rickard, 11800 Civic Circle, said his concern was that their retention pond could not <br />hold the extra water run off. He said the retention pond on the west side was washed out. He <br />also said he would like to see how the building would look when built. <br /> <br />Mr. Charles McGuire, of the Mooresville Plan Commission, stated that the Comprehensive Plan <br />does not permit multi-family dwellings in the zoning. He also said they had just permitted a <br />church to be built with the restrictions to not add multi-family dwellings on the property. <br /> <br />James Reese, Senior Citizen Center stated that the State Highway Department had built the <br />deceleration lane on the south side of St. Rd. 144. He feels they should put in a deceleration lane <br />on the north side. <br /> <br />Mr. Doyle Woods, 11985 Civic Circle, said his concern was that the rental would have an effect <br />of the property value of their condos. <br /> <br />Mr. Holloway in response to the concerns of the neighbors he said they would draw up plans <br />showing how the addition would look, the rezone that was denied earlier was for 27 units, the <br />drainage will be reduced which should help with the lake across the road, the drainage will be <br />channeled to the new detention basin, the church only has around 40 members so there will not <br />be intensive use, the Comprehensive Plan does not define churches, this will be residential use, <br />the property values will not be lowered, these are senior citizen an they will be charged rent, and <br />there will not he a high density use. Mr. Hollowy asked for a continuance until March when they <br />will come back with drawings. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Mr. Barry, second by Mr. Crouch, to continue the New Life Community <br />Wesleyan Church variance of use until March 11, 2004. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />Next Mr. Kramer asked for nomination for officers for 2004. Nomination were as follows: <br /> <br />Chairman - Alan Kramer <br />Vice Chairman - Christopher Crouch <br />Secretary - Jonathan Swisher <br /> <br />Motion was made by Mr. Crouch, second by Mr. Barry, to accept the nominations. Motion <br />carried 4-0. <br /> <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals is February 12, 2004 at 6:00 P.M. <br />at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board a motion to adjourn was made by Mr. <br />Barry, second by Mr. Crouch. Motion carried 4-0 <br /> <br />Chairman. <br /> <br /> <br />
