Mr. Holloway said they could put a small right turn lane in and a taper going out.
Commissioner Young commented why didn't the commission think of a dedicated left
turn lane for the Villages of East more. Mr. Holloway told the commission they would
have to come back with the turn-about and could add some additional right of ways and
he had to make sure there was enough right of way for a dedicated left turn if it became
necessary. This is a PUD and when one ofthese uses come in they could put notes on the
plat to that affect. Commissioner Young asked if there was going to be enough
population in the Villages of Eastmore that a dedicated left was needed. Mr. Holloway
said there could be. There are 143 lots and with two cars per lot that is 286 cars, some
kids, and other traffic. Probably the Villages by itself there wouldn't be enough there to
warrant the left turn lane. When you add Roberson Woods directly across the street there
certainly is enough population. Since Bridge Street is nð'1hru there is a lot of traffic both
ways, so if somebody stopped there turning left you have everybody bottlenecked. A
motion was made by Commissioner Bryant with a second from Commissioner Crouch to
recommend approval of amendment with the change of right of way to allow for a left
turn lane and show a right turn in and a taper, abandon Lot 2C access, a note on the plat
all lots will have no direct access to Bridge Street, and show the small turn-about in the
middle. Motion carried 6-0.

The next item on the agenda, a request for a rezone from I-I to R-3, for Charles Patton,
330 Bolton Avenue was tabled due to the tabling of variance of use and developmental
standards at the BZA meeting. This will be heard at the December 16, 2004 meeting. A
motion was made by Commissioner Crouch with a second by Commissioner Corbin to
table the rezone request. Motion carried 6-0.

Building Inspector, Joe Beikman, reported nine (9) permits and sixty-two (62)
inspections.

There being no further business at this time a motion was made by Commissioner Bruner
with a second by Commissioner Crouch to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 6-0.

The next meeting of the Mooresville Plan Commission will be on Thursday, December
16,2004 immediately following the BZA meeting at 6:00 P. M. The ange i the
meeting date and time is due to Christmas Holiday.

/

- "-,.,.,._-_...~._-_.. "-"-~--
