discussed the proposed rezoning and, in particular, other uses in

----

the area.

A motion was then made by Steve Edwards to recommend to

the Town Board of Trustees that the property be rezoned from

Agricultural to General Business. This was seconded by William

Abbott and unanimously carried. The Hancocks were advised that

this matter would come before the Town Board of Trustees at the

June 6, 1989 meeting.

The next item to come before the Board was a request by Kaye

Don Haught concerning an assisted living house at 930 Edgewood

Drive in Mooresville.

Mr. Haught was present and stated that it

was his intent to have an assisted living

home in which the resi-
(24~day assistance

dents could be cared for with twenty-four

while having their own room and residing in this three bedroom

home.

The care provided would consist of housekeeping and meals.

'--"'

Mr. Haught felt that this type of service would be of benefit to

the community but wanted to determine what the zoning requirements

would be.

After review of the ordinance, Building Inspector

Beikman advised that he felt the boarding house definition would

fit this classification.

The Board reviewed the ordinance and

agreed.

The Board went on to review the Special Exception aspect

of this case and found that the use of the property at 930

Edgewood Drive as an assisted living home or boarding house would

not be inconsistent with the Master Land Use Plan and upon motion

made by William Abbott, seconded by Steve Edwards, this recommen-

dation was passed.

The next item to come before the Board was the Unsafe

Building ordinance status of the property located at 126 East High

-2-
