M. <br />MOORESVILLE TOWN HALL <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session on Thursday, February 26, 1998, at 7:00 <br />P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Commission members present were: President Joel Beebe, Vern Kimmel, Bill Abbott, Steve <br />Campbell, John Ehrhart, J\Æke Young, Tim Bennett, Charles McGuire, and Andy Pygman. No <br />members were absent. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Conunissioner Kimmel, second by Commissioner Pygman to approve the <br />minutes of the January 26, 1998 meeting. Motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />First on the agenda, Ross Holloway of Holloway & Associates presented the rezone from R-I to <br />R-2 at 134 East Main Street across from Crystal Flash. The request was made for a two family <br />dwelling to be built on the site. This is a 1/, lot, 40 y, feet wide from Main Street to the alley. <br />Each unit would be 2 bedroom, .inyl siding, and would have 748 square feet to each unit. <br />Commissioner Ehrhart asked if the side entrance could be moved to the front of the building. The <br />owners said yes. There would be parking spaces in the back. After much discussion, motion was <br />made by Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Ehrhart to recommend to the Town <br />Council to deny the request for re-zoning. Motion carried 8-1 with Commissioner Abbott <br />opposed. 1'vfr. Holloway said it would be the March 17, 1998 meeting of the Town Council bdoĊ“ <br />this rezone would be presented. <br /> <br />Next, Ross Holloway presented the request of Jim Remster, 601 Indianapolis Road, for a 4 Lot <br />l'vlinor Plat. This request is for four lots on two acres. Also, a requcst for scwer hook-on and <br />annexation into the Town. This property would need to be rezoned from Agriculture to R-IB. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by Commissioner Campbell to not consider <br />the Minor Plat until re-zoning action was taken. Motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />Next on the agenda, Ross Holloway presented the 4 Lot Minor Plat on the property north of <br />Overton Industries on Highway 67 South. Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by <br />Commissioner Ehrhart to approve the Overton 4 Lot IVlinor Plat subject to a variance being <br />obtained for setbacks on the four building~ that do not fit setback requirements presently. Motion <br />canied 9-0. <br /> <br />Next, Ross Holloway presented the Don France 4 Lot l'vlinor Plat at 8822 SlideoffRoad. This <br />property is on septic and has a 20' wide stone driveway. One lot has an existing barn. Larry <br />Sutton had questions concerning the Septic and was told the drain fields will go South toward <br />Lambert's Lake. Herb Hine raises beef cattle and asked if the new property owners would have <br />problems with his cattle. Steve Hi1ligoss voiced his concerns about the type of housing and the <br />'/ gravel road instead of a paved road. This Minor Plat is not a re-zone, it would still be zoned <br />Agriculture. Motion was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Bennett to <br />approve the 4 Lot Minor Plat for Don France subject to a variance being obtained for a setback on <br />
