"-

'-"

passed out rainfall data to all the Board members for their review.

Mr. Holloway demonstrated how the effects of water on the bare

earth would run off and cause a lot of water problems compared to

the ground covered with grass and how well it could be saturated

and soak up a lot of water decreasing water problems. Mr. Holloway

explained that Environmental Development was doing several things

to control the drainage and water problems such as installing more

detention basins and silt fencing.

Building Inspector Joe Beikman added that once the streets

in the Rooker Trace Subdivision were paved this would allow the

water to run off properly into the detention basins.

Mr. Ken Thompson, 1216 Driftwood Court, Roberson Woods Subdivision

came before the Plan Commission to explain how they had drainage

problems and that Caperton Development had done things to control

the situation.

Residents from Roberson Village Subdivision voiced their concerns

about problems they were having in their subdivision.

Mr. Roger Caperton informed the residents and the Board that

he would talk to the builders about these problems. Caperton

Development added that they had previously talked to the builders

and that they did have plans to solve the water and drainage problems,

but because of all the rain were unable to solve the problems right

away.
OLD BUSINESS
Building Inspector, Joe Beikman, reported he had issued sixteen
(16) permibs, and had done sixty-four (64) inspections.

3
