O. S. OPEN SPACE <br /> <br />---------------------- <br /> <br />This district is designed to recognize the need for parks, recreation areas, <br />nature areas, and other natural areas for the purpose of buffering zoning districts <br />for recreation, and aesthetic purposes. <br /> <br />(a) Representative Uses: Parks, Planting strips of trees and flowers. <br /> <br />(b) Special Exceptions: None <br /> <br />----------------------- <br /> <br />(c) Restrictions: None <br /> <br />----------------- <br /> <br />IV. R-1, Residential Single Family <br /> <br />----------------------------------- <br /> <br />This is a single family dwelling district which shall include areas which shall <br />be residential in character. The classifications within the R-1 zoning district <br />shall vary in minimum lot size and ground floor area of structure based upon density <br />and compatibility with the area and the master plan for the Town of Mooresville. <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />Residential Single Family classifications shall be defined as follows: <br /> <br />R-1(a) to J::e defined as low density residential. <br />R-1(b) to J::e defined as medium low density residential. <br />R-1 (c) to J::e defined as medium high density residential. <br />R-1(d) to be defined as high density residential. <br /> <br />(a) Representative Uses: Single family residential, oonsisting of one-family, <br />detached dwellings. other uses would include public parks, playgrounds, and <br />related llOncœmercial recreational areas, churches. <br /> <br />(b) Special Exceptions: None. <br /> <br />----------------------- <br /> <br />(c) Restrictions: See Section 3 Tables 1 and 3a, also Parking Table 4a. <br /> <br />----------------- <br /> <br />V. R-2, RESIDEm'IAL <br /> <br />-------------------- <br /> <br />This district is designated to recognize two family residential units in those <br />areas which should be residential in character.
