<br />I <br /> <br />We, the corlcerned residents of Mooresville's Buffer District, after <br />careful consideration of a variety of factors which will affect <br />Mooresville's future, hereby petition the Mooresville Plan Commission and <br />Town Council to amend the residential Zoning Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />Chapter 2, Part IV. R-l <br /> <br />(page 18) <br /> <br />This is a low density single family dwelling district which shall <br />include areas which should be residential in character. Maximum permitted <br />density with water and sewers shall be 2.0 dwellings per gross acre. <br />Maximum permitted density without water and sewers shall be 1.0 dwellings <br />per gross acre. <br /> <br />Part V. R-2 <br /> <br />This district is designed to recognize medium density residential <br />developments which should be residential in character. Maximum permitted <br />density shall be 3.0 dwellings per gross acre. <br /> <br />Part VI. R-3 <br /> <br />This district is designed to recognize high density 1,2,3,and 4 family <br />residential developments which should be residential in character, <br />consisting of family structures along with 2-4 family dwelling units. <br /> <br />We recommend a new R-4 district be created to address high density <br />multi-family residential area, including multi-family uses consisting of 5 <br />or more units. This district should be similar to the current R-3 <br />district. <br />
