Wood, Inc. petitioned to rezone ground on Park Drive which

was the original Freeman Florist property. The Plan Commission recommended

to the Town Council at this time to approve this request. However, the purchase

of this property did not take place until the first of this year and at this

time changes in the Ordinance had taken place. This property is currently

zoned II but G.R. Wood mentions in their letter to the Commission that they

have two (2) shifts. Tim Currens expressed to the Commission that G.R. Wood

needs to file a petition to rezone in order that the adjoining property owners
could be notified before any action is taken.
Joe Beikman reported that letters have been sent to Douglas Turner regarding

his property violations. Joe indicated that there may be an attempt to involve

the State of Indiana if there is no compliance to these violations.

Concerns regarding Lawyer Trucking were brought to the attention of the

,
Commission at its February 28th meeting. Joe Beikman reported to the Commission

that Lawyer Trucking meets the Ordinance requirements.

Bill Abbott then showed the Commission the proposed Buffer Zone maps.

Bill told the Commission this would encompass property in all directions except

the North where it will remain the same at County Line Road.

A motion was made by David Barry to accept the revised Buffer Zone Maps

as redrawn. A second was made by Charles McGuire. Motion carried unanimously.

Tim Currens will record a copy at the Courthouse in Martinsville and a second

copy will be provided to Mr. Beck at the Morgan County plan Commission.

The Building Inspector, Joe Beikman, gave his report and there were twenty

.(20)permits issued and twenty-eight (28) inspections. Steve Edwards asked

what the majority of the permits were and Joe reported they were residential.

There being no further business, David Barry made a motion to adjourn. A

second was made by Steve Edwards. Motion carried unanimously.

Sâ

- 3 -
