I

.

and the continuance was granted.

The next item to come before ,the board under old business

was Horace and Marian Adams question of the new zoning map concerning

property which adjoined them on South Street. Don Adams of Bethel

Road was present on their behalf along with Marian Adams. Mr. Adams

showed minutes from the public hearing of July, 1990, and stated

that a half lot adjoining his parents property had been residential

in the past and was now shown as B-2, local business. He stated

that he felt the rezoning was inadvertent and possibly a mistake

on the map.

Those members present at the public hearing discussed

their recollection of what had occurred.

They also discussed

the ability to rezone like this at the meeting and whether or not

it was the intent to do this. The board's attorney advised that

certain properties were reclassified but none from residential

to business. All members that were present at the public meeting

felt that this was the case and that the property should remain

the same zoning classification it had been under the prior

ordinance with the reclassification reflecting only the new

residential occupancy nomenclature. A motion was made that the

map be corrected by Steve Edwards, this was seconded by Joel

Beebe and passed by a vote of seven (7) in favor and zero (0)

opposed with Vern Kimmell abstaining since he is a member of the VFW

which owns the property in question.

The Building Inspector gave his report of four (4) permits

and seventeen (17) inspections. There being no further business

to come before the board the meeting was adjourned.

'---

-6-
