Signe Nicholson <br />stated that she felt the area was primarily residential in <br />character and also the traffic problem is amplified due to the <br />narrowness of Clay Street. <br />The Chair then entertained a motion. Bill Abbott moved to <br />recommend to the Town Council that the rezoning not be approved. <br /> <br />This was seconded by Steve Edwards. There was a discussion and <br /> <br />the vote followed with 6 persons being in favor of a negative <br />recommendation of the petition to the Town Council and 2 opposed. <br />The petitioners were advised of the next Town Council meeting. <br />The next item to come before the Board was the unsafe <br />building violation on the real property lcoated at 5 East Harrison <br />Street owned by the Kinnetts. Building Inspector Beikman stated <br />that he still needed access to the property. The Board agreed to <br />again continue the unsafe building vioaltion hearing until the <br />next meeting and to request the Board's Attorney to send a letter <br />to the Kinnetts to allow Building Inspector Beikman to have access <br />to the property or they would proceed with the hearing in <br />September. <br />The next item to come before the Board was the unsafe <br />building violation on the Graybill property which is located at <br />125 E. High Street. Mr. Graybill was present. He stated that the <br />carpet was still not In, the ceiling and walls were in and he <br /> <br /> <br />plans to complete the siding. He also stated that 11 squares of <br /> <br /> <br />the 12 squares of the roof have been put on. Building Inspector <br /> <br /> <br />Beikman advised that the footers have been put in and the roof's <br /> <br /> <br />condition was as stated.
