I

The board then moved on to the second item on the agenda
----

which was the unsafe building ordinance violation at 840 Edgewood

Drive. Building Inspector Beikman advised that the property
owners had started repairs on the roof. He advised that the front

of the building had been re-roofed and tar paper had been laid on

the back portion of the roof. Inspector Beikman further indicated

that they had been advised to make these repairs back in September

and that bundles of new shingles were up on the roof then. He

advised that four violations had been cited and nothing had been

done to correct those violations to his knowledge. He further

indicated that the landowners had been notified of this hearing.

Edward J. Smith, owner of the property appeared before the

board. He advised the board that the entire roof had been

completed except for capping. He felt that this could be

completed within the next week. He also advised that the area had

been cleaned up and that the van located on the property would be

properly licensed and moved.

Robert Tucker inquired as to whether the home would be

occupied. Mr. Smith responded that he would be moving into the

property in approximately three to four months. He further

advised in response to Mr. Beebe's inquiries that the property was

being fixed up in order to be lived in.

Signe Nicholson inquired of Inspector Beikman as to whether

the building presently posed an immediate danger and Inspector

Beikman responded in the negative.

Bill Abbott felt that the board should review this matter in

thirty days to see how the work is progressing.

Bill Abbott

-

-2-

.
