He therefore moved to grant the property owner a thirty day continuance. The motion was seconded by Tilford Bailey and unanimously carried. Bill Abbott indicated he had one other item not listed on the agenda under new business which was the mobile home located on State Road 267. Inspector Beikman advised that the owners were taking it out since they could not obtain water. The board then proceeded to old business and the first item on that agenda was the Lowry property located at One West Main Street. Inspector Beikman advised that the property was in the exact same condition as it has been with no work being performed. Robert Tucker inquired as to whether the roof had been completed. Inspector Beikman responded in the negative and advised that the decking had been installed three months ago with no other work performed since then. Bill Abbott inquired as to what steps could be taken next. Inspector Beikman advised that there were several options and further advised that the Lowrys have been notified of tonights meeting. He first indicated that the original order of the board directed the Lowrys to repair the building or to have it removed. He felt that the town did not want to get into the business of removing property and felt that, therefore, this was not a viable alternative. Second, he advised that the ordinance allowed the board to impose a fine for each day the building is in violation and that this would be his recommendation.
