<br />· <br /> <br />that his neighbor, Kenny Wilcher, who had a business on the back <br /> <br /> <br />of his property, was a good neighbor and not a problem of any <br /> <br /> <br />type. <br />Bill Abbott then raised a question concerning the Board's <br />ability to reduce the General Business to a Local Business on the <br />Petition. The Board's attorney advised that he felt the Petition <br />must stand on its own merits as a General Business request and <br />must be refiled for any other use. Bill Abbott then stated that <br />he believed that the area will eventually be business in nature, <br />but until the Master Plan is approved he would feel more <br />comfortable with a Local Business Use versus a General Business <br />Use. Signe Nicholson agreed with Bill Abbott on this point, <br />stating that the area borders business and residential uses and <br />that she is not in favor of going all the way to General Business <br />~ at this time. Tilford Bailey stated that he felt this would <br />devalue the adjoining lots. Mark Peden stated that if it was left <br />Residential, he felt its future would be a deteriorating use. <br />He went on to state that he felt at this time it would be in his <br />client's best interest to withdraw the Petition and amend and file <br />as Local Business. <br />The next item to come before the Board was the Master Land <br /> <br /> <br />Use Plan and Buffer Zone Maps. Signe Nicholson advised that the <br /> <br /> <br />committee was finished with determining its development goals, <br /> <br /> <br />policy on land use and maps on proposed uses. Signe advised the <br /> <br /> <br />Board that the final documents should be ready for inspection at <br /> <br /> <br />the December meeting. The Board's attorney added that Signe was <br /> <br /> <br />doing an excellent job and that the final product would be one <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />-3- <br />
