~' that she would rather wait until after the public hearings to

disclose this. The board's attorney felt that this was
~,

appropriate since both the board and people from the public would
have opportunities to comment on the proposed maps and that

changes could still be made. William Abbott then proceeded to

state that he felt that the property at Seven West High Street

would not realistically be a residential use since it is on a main

intersection and that the highest and best use would be the

professional business use. Joel Beebe agreed with this and Signe

Nicholson had a question regarding the surrounding uses. After

discussion William Abbott moved that the plan commission make a
favorable recommendation to the Town Board of Trustees to grant
the rezoning of this property. This was seconded by Joel Beebe

and unanimously carried. Tilford Bailey questioned the board on
how the motion was made and the board's attorney advised Chairman
Kimmel to poll the board on the vote. After a poll of the board,
the vote was seven in favor of rezoning the property and one
opposed. The parties were advised that the favorable
recommendation would be given to the Town Board of Trustees at its
December 6th meeting at 7:30 P.M.
The next item on the agenda was the unsafe building follow-up
on Two West Main Street. Frank and Mary Lowry were present and

advised that their plan was to start painting the structure next

week and to get all of the outside work done prior to cold

weather. It was their intent to drywall and wire the building and

finish it for opening by the first of the spring. Inspector

~ Beikman stated that he was satisfied with the results as they were

progressing.

-3-
