~

The board complimented the Lowrys on the appearance of the

building. Mr. Lowry stated that he was sorry it had taken so long

to get the work done but he was only able to work on this part

time.

The next item on the agenda was the buffer zone map and

Master Land Use Plan. Signe Nicholson reported that the committee
was continuing to meet and that all of the proposed uses in town
and in the buffer zone had been completed on the map. She also
requested that all board members go over proposed changes in the

Ordinance for the next meeting or to get these changes to

members on the committee. Signe also advised that the committee
was going to drive around and personally view the proposed Master
Land Use areas prior to presenting this to the board. The board's
attorney advised that this would assist all of the members when we
had a public hearing in being able to justify the reasoning behind
the rezoning with first-hand knowledge.
Signe Nicholson then requested that the board make a decision
as to payment to the person responsible for drafting the narrative
portion of the land use plan. She advised that the committee had
decided that this portion would be more consistent and better
drafted if one person took control. Signe felt that this was over
and above normal duty on the Plan Commission and that some
compensation should be paid to the party that performs this task.
The board agreed and requested that she be in charge of drafting
the narrative and, further, that they make arrangements for

payment.

-4-
